On World Day Against Trafficking in Persons 2026, the UN calls for greater action to protect victims and to strengthen cross-border cooperation that disrupts the organized crime groups responsible.
That’s why CCHT is working to bring awareness locally and protect our children. Help us support our community with education and awareness.
Why it matters

trafficking victims is a child.
95%
of teens ages 13–17 have an online presence — exposing them to grooming and recruiting through gaming platforms and apps.
40%+
of child abductions happen in June, July, and August, when kids are out of school with unsupervised time.
Social media is becoming the most common place for sex trafficking and exploitation in America, and traffickers often build a relationship over time — they can even be people you know. By building community support and collaborations, we can raise awareness and promote safety while protecting the vulnerable.
“On this World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, let us act together to stand with victims, hold perpetrators to account and build a world where no one is bought, sold, or exploited.”
