Eradicating Exploitation Together
You are not alone. There is help, and hope.
If you've found your way here, we're glad you did. The Coalition to Combat Human Trafficking helps survivors find safe resources, real advocacy, and a mentor who stays with them as they rebuild. Reaching out is private. You decide what to share, and how much.
If you need help
Reaching out takes courage. We're here whenever you're ready.
You don't need the right words. Share only what feels okay to share. Whatever you're carrying, you can set some of it down here, safely, and in your own time.
Our work
Three ways we fight for them.
Everything we do flows from three commitments: empower survivors, educate our community, and help people reclaim their futures.
Empower
Providing vital resources and support so survivors can find safety, stability, and a path forward.
Educate
Raising awareness and training in the community so people can recognize the signs and prevent harm.
Reclaim
Walking alongside people as they rebuild, and deciding for themselves what comes next.
Our mission
Real resources, advocacy, and a mentor who stays.
Human trafficking is a crisis we refuse to accept. The Coalition works to end it. We bring resources to at-risk youth and adults, and we stand beside survivors with steady advocacy and one-on-one mentoring.
We're based in Traverse City and serve Northern Michigan. Together with service providers, community leaders, and neighbors, we're building a place free from exploitation.

A survivor's story
Theresa Flores
Theresa survived two years of trafficking that began when she was a high-school sophomore. She got out. Then she turned what happened to her into a mission to protect others.
Today she leads The SOAP Project (Save Our Adolescents from Prostitution). It has put millions of soap bars labeled with the National Human Trafficking Hotline into motels nationwide, and it trains staff to spot the signs. Her story is proof. There is life, and purpose, and hope after exploitation.
