Eradicating Exploitation Together
You are not alone. There is help, and hope.
If you've found your way here, we're glad you did. The Coalition to Combat Human Trafficking works to prevent trafficking, advocate for those affected, and connect people to the resources and support they need.
Join the fight
Together, we can end human trafficking.
Every donation, every partner, and every person who learns the signs makes our community harder for traffickers to operate in. Stand with us.
Our work
Three ways we fight for them.
Everything we do flows from three commitments: empower survivors, educate our community, and help people reclaim their futures.
Empower
Providing vital resources and support so survivors can find safety, stability, and a path forward.
Educate
Raising awareness and training in the community so people can recognize the signs and prevent harm.
Reclaim
Connecting survivors to the resources and advocates that help them rebuild, on their own terms.
Our mission
Resources, advocacy, and a community that shows up.
Human trafficking is a crisis we refuse to accept. The Coalition works to end it. We connect at-risk youth and adults with real resources, and we bring service providers together so survivors can find steady advocacy and support.
We're based in Traverse City and serve Northern Michigan. Together with service providers, community leaders, and neighbors, we're building a place free from exploitation.

A survivor's story
Theresa Flores
Theresa survived two years of trafficking that began when she was a high-school sophomore. She got out. Then she turned what happened to her into a mission to protect others.
Today she leads The SOAP Project (Save Our Adolescents from Prostitution). It has put millions of soap bars labeled with the National Human Trafficking Hotline into motels nationwide, and it trains staff to spot the signs. Her story is proof. There is life, and purpose, and hope after exploitation.
